Hello, my name is Alan Plaisance and I have the privilege of serving the students, families and community of Milliken Elementary School as the Assistant Principal.  I am excited to return to this school and to work with you all this school year.  This is my 18th year in education, in previous years I served in the Milliken community.  I taught at Milliken Elementary School for several years as a 4th and 5th grade classroom teacher and was also given the opportunity to work as a Title I reading interventionist.  The last two years I had the privilege of being the Assistant Principal at Milliken Middle School.  I am looking forward to partnering with you to positively impact the stakeholders of our community. 

Originally from New Orleans, I moved to Colorado and shortly afterwards began to pursue a teaching degree. While gaining my degree in Elementary Education, I met my wife and settled in Northern Colorado.  We are blessed to have two amazing middle school-aged children.  I am a passionate father, husband and professional.  I feel privileged to be living out my dream in a school that is truly exceptional.  I assure you that my commitment to excellence and my eagerness to grow as a leader will be something I carry with me everyday when working with students, staff and families.
