With highly-trained teachers and staff, an engaged parent community, and a focus on insuring all students have the knowledge and skills to achieve at the highest levels, Weld County RE-5J’s graduation rate exceeds the state average, with over 85% of our high school students graduating on-time.

Postsecondary Readiness: Our schools place a strong emphasis on preparing students for life after high school. We provide students with opportunities to explore college and careers paths, and equip them with the skills needed to achieve in both. Roosevelt High School has robust Career Technical Education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) programming. In partnership with AIMS Community College, students have the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school, preparing them for the rigors of higher education and giving them a head start on a career path.

Technology: Weld County RE-5J School District is committed to building technology education into classroom instruction and equipping all students with critical lifelong, 21st-century skills. All schools have a 1:1 student-to-technology ratio, with each student being issued an iPad to use at home and in the classroom.

Activities and programs: We believe in the potential of all of our students, and we encourage them to explore their individual talents, interests and passions. Our schools offer clubs, sports, activities, technology, and arts programs to engage our students, grow their skills and talents, and foster an inclusive, positive, and welcoming school culture.

Talented staff: Investing in talented educators is a priority in Weld County RE-5J. We believe having strong, effective teachers is crucial to ensuring success in our schools. Our educators focus on engaging instruction in the classroom and involving students in their own learning. We foster a culture of learning, collaboration and accountability. We are working together to ensure students have the opportunity to achieve their goals.

Strong community: Our goal is to have an engaged community that is proud of its schools and students. Renowned for our strong school spirit and pride in our athletes, Weld County RE-5J students, families and community members show their support by filling our bleachers and cheering on our teams. Parents and community members volunteer and mentor students, helping our students to build connections and achieve success.
