School Information

Pioneer Ridge Elementary opened its doors for the first time in August of 2005. The school houses grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade, and has an enrollment of 477 students. A full year was taken to complete construction of Pioneer Ridge. During this time the district developed a reconfiguration plan that would make Pioneer Ridge along with the existing elementary schools of Letford Elementary and Milliken Elementary all into Kindergarten through Fifth Grade buildings. Up until the start of the 2005 – 2006 school year Letford Elementary housed the districts intermediate grades (3-5) and Milliken Elementary housed the districts primary grades (pre k – 2). Also, during the construction year school attendance boundaries were developed such that the enrollments for Letford and Milliken would stabilize and that the new growth of the district could be absorbed at Pioneer Ridge.

Early in the fall of 2005 student elections were held at Pioneer Ridge to select our first student council. The student council organized a school wide vote for a new school mascot (the stallion) and new school colors (blue and gold).
