Gaggle Safety Management

The Weld RE-5J School District will be using Gaggle Safety Management (GSM) program allowing the district to monitor student use of Google Suite (on their weldre5j.org account) through a content analysis and expert review of content in Google applications.  Any content that is deemed inappropriate or has questionable material will be flagged for school administrators to address with the student(s) involved.  We will begin using the Gaggle Safety Management (GSM) program on May 1, 2019.

The User Agreement and Parent/Guardian Permission Form is signed by each student and parent/guardian when the student registers for school (Board of Education policy IJKAA-E):

As the parent or legal guardian of the minor student signing above, I grant permission for my son/daughter to access networked computer services such as electronic mail and the Internet. I understand that individuals and families may be held liable for violations. I understand that some materials on the Internet may be objectionable, but I accept responsibility for guidance of Internet use – setting and conveying standards for my son/daughter to follow when selecting, sharing or exploring information and media.

We appreciate your assistance in speaking to your child/children about internet safety and reminding them that their use of district devices will be monitored.
