School Board Vacancy - Request for Applicants for District C

Board Vacancy

The Board of Education of Weld RE-5J School District is accepting applications from people interested in serving on the Board of Education from the date of appointment until the next regular biennial school election in November, 2023. To be eligible for appointment, a candidate must be a registered elector of School District for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the date of appointment, a current resident of District C and 18 years or older. In addition, any person who has been convicted of, pled guilty or nolo contendere to, or received a deferred judgment or sentence for commission of a sexual offense against a child is ineligible for appointment to the school district board of education. 

Any person who meets the qualifications and who desires to be considered for the appointment is invited to submit a letter of interest including a biographical statement to the secretary of the Board of Education, Jessica Diagana, by 4 p.m. Monday, April 25, at 110 S. Centennial Drive, Ste. A, Milliken, Colorado.  Upon submission of the letter of interest, applicants will be asked to fill out a sworn affidavit attesting to the qualifications for office.  The Board will interview prospective candidates on May 4, 2022, at a public meeting.
