Student Lunch Accounts / Free or Reduced Lunch

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Weld RE-5J is contacting you to try to help alleviate some burdens associated with the COVID-19 furloughs, layoffs or drop in pay. At this point your student is a full pay student for meals; some with very high balances owed. We have been emailing charge notices each week to the email address associated with the guardian of each student. We are thankful to those who have kept their students’ accounts current.
We want to help by seeing if your student(s) qualify for Free/Reduced price meals. IF you qualify for Free/Reduced meals we will pay off your student(s) balance. We are asking you to complete the meal application online through the parent portal under “Meal Benefits”. OR you can print off a paper application at www.weldre5j.k12.co.us click on District Services then Family Information then Food Services then Applications and mail to the address above Attn: Gena. When filling out either application it is based on current GROSS income. Please use your current income, not what you were getting or what you hope to get once COVID-19 is over. Please have application to Weld RE-5J no later than April 17, 2020.
IF your student(s) qualify for Free/Reduced they will have this status until the end of September. Please keep in mind the application needs to be filled out each school year, so this fall please consider filling out the application for the 2020-2021 school year.

Weld RE-5J se está comunicando con usted para tratar de ayudar y aliviar algunas cargas asociadas con él COVID-19 como despidos o baja de pago del trabajo. En este momento, su estudiante es un estudiante que paga por sus comidas en la escuela; algunos tienen un adeudó muy alto. Hemos estado enviando notificaciones de cargos por correo electrónico cada semana a la dirección de correo electrónico asociada con el tutor de cada estudiante. Agradecemos a quienes han mantenido sus cuentas al corriente.
Queremos ayudar, queremos ver si su (s) estudiante (s) califica para comidas gratis o a precio reducido. SI califica para comidas gratis o reducidas, pagaremos el saldo completo de su (s) estudiante (s). Le pedimos que llene la solicitud de comidas en línea a través del portal para padres bajo "Beneficios de comidas". O bien, puede imprimir una solicitud en www.weldre5j.k12.co.us , haga clic en Servicios del distrito, luego en Información de la familia, luego en Servicios de alimentos y luego en Solicitudes, y envíela por correo a la dirección que está arriba para la Atención: Gena. Al completar cualquiera de las solicitudes, se basara en los ingresos brutos actuales. Utilice sus ingresos actuales, no lo que estaba obteniendo o lo que espera obtener una vez que termine COVID-19. Su solicitud tiene que ser antes del 17 de abril del 2020 al Weld RE-5J.
SI su (s) estudiante (s) califica para comidas Gratis o Reducidas, tendrá este estado hasta finales de septiembre. Tenga en cuenta que la solicitud debe completarse cada año escolar, por lo que este otoño considere llenar la solicitud para el año escolar 2020-2021.
