Weld RE-5J Education Foundation Golf Tournament
WELD RE-5J EDUCATION FOUNDATION
GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES APPX. $30,000
FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF MEMBERS
The third annual Weld RE-5J Education Foundation Golf Tournament held this past Friday was a huge success! The event raised approximately $30,000 to directly benefit Weld RE-5J students and staff through senior scholarships and teacher grants.
A great time was had by the 120 golfers who participated in the event. Roosevelt High School (RHS) students from a variety of pathways assisted with the tournament and interacted with golfers to share the experiences they’ve had in Weld RE-5J CTE courses. Flower arrangements created by plant science students were showcased, as well as prototypes from the engineering pathway. Students in the health science pathway added a small gift to goodie bags for golfers who also were treated to cream puffs for dessert which were made by food and hospitality students in the ProStart program.
The Weld RE-5J Education Foundation and Weld RE-5J School District would like to extend a special “THANK YOU” to all participants, organizers, and sponsors.
