Hello, my name is Lupe Medina. I am the ELD teacher at MES! I grew up in Johnstown/Milliken and graduated from Roosevelt High School. After graduating high school, I worked at the Johnstown Milliken Preschool for six years. While working at the preschool, I graduated in 2009 from AIMS Community College with an AA, in Early Childhood Education. I then transferred to UNC and graduated in 2012 with a BA in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in ELD. I enjoyed working with preschoolers but I have come to find out my true desire is to work with elementary students. This will be my 17th year in education but 11th year as a teacher. I have taught 2nd, 3rd and ESL. This will be my eighth year as an ELD teacher. I graduated in 2018 from the Grand Canyon University with my Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I am thrilled to be able to be a part of the MES team!
